Nuance Technologies Still Coming to iOS 5 This Fall?

Leading up to WWDC there were rumors abound regarding Apple integrating Nuance voice recognition, and text-to-speech technologies in iOS 5. Yesterday’s announcement came and went without a mention of any such technology. A new report has come up claiming that a deal may still be in the works, and the deal wasn’t in place to make an announcement at yesterday’s keynote. The report goes on to suggests that the public even knowing about the rumored deal, may have thrown a wrench in the cogs, seeing as both Apple and Nuance are notorious for not backing down in regards to negotiations. They do point to several solid pieces of evidence as their proof that a negotiation is still ongoing. First, Nuance’s chief mobile platform architect was at yesterday’s keynote. Secondly, Roger Rosner of Apple made an on-stage appearance talking about something totally unrelated to technologies, even though he was rumored to be slated to speak about the Nuance deal.

iPad’s browser already has almost 1% market share

Survey of analysts from Net Applications showed that the browser of Apple’s tablet iPad has a market share of 0.92 percent. That may not seem like much of an achievement, but if you look at the results of the next tablet in the rankings shows that things are not what they seem, transmit Mashable. Second is the browser of the tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab. Its market share, however, is only 0.018% and this shows how significant is the achievement of the iPad. In the numerical difference is 53 times.

Fling Mini Joysticks Now for iPhone and iPod Touch

TouchArcade points out that TenOneDesign has posted new miniaturized versions of the Fling joysticks designed for the iPhone and iPod Touch. We covered the original version made for the iPad back in January and even tried them out at CES. The springy controllers work surprisingly well for any joystick or dual-stick controller games such as Geometry Wars . From an earlier review : The Fling is a cleverly designed device with two suction cups on one side connected to a plastic ring.
