AT&T has finally approved Sling Media ’s Slingplayer app for the iPhone to run on the 3G(s) model via 3G wireless networks. The application had been previously only available over WiFi until now. So, if you own a slingbox, and you’ve paid $30 for the iPhone app, you’ll be able to watch all your TV shows right on the iPhone anywhere there’s a 3G connection. (editor’s note - Only available in countries that suport the AT&T network) Extend your living room TV experience to your iPhone or iPod touch with SlingPlayer Mobile™ software.
iTunes is letting more of its content out onto the open web these days, offering up song previews and, just recently, iPhone/iPod app details . You can check out screenshots, reviews, pricing, and most of the other details you’d get inside iTunes from your browser now when you click on a direct app link. Not every direct app link worked in a quick morning test, but over time, expect far fewer grumbles from those who don’t have iTunes installed but want to see just a few things inside Apple’s walled garden. When the SlingPlayer iPhone app launched last May , it was hamstrung by AT&T’s insistence that it stream video only over Wi-Fi. It was an untenable position, given that MLB.com and others already stream over 3G. Today, finally, the carrier relented. This has been in the works since mid-December, and both companies still need Apple’s sign-off before the new 3G SlingPlayer app is available.

And sometimes, one would just like to move two motifs closer together, which are too far apart in the image. Savoy Software, the Berlin startup, has developed an app for the iPhone, which can solve all the problems listed above in a such a way that not only Photoshop experts can work with the app but also laymen and hobby photographers who use the iPhone camera for taking pictures

iTunes has followed up their recent addition of in-browser music previews with in-browser App Store previews, changing the way iTunes link work from a simple redirect to desktop iTunes to a full-on web showcase for the app in question. Whether or not this is a step towards the much rumored iTunes.com — the moving of iTunes from desktop to cloud — is harder to say. For Safari users on Mac, the old browser redirect process was so fast as to be pretty much invisible. You click the link, see a brief message, and boom — iTunes is open, on top, and displaying the item you requested. For other browsers on other OS, like Windows, it could be a less elegant experience at times. iTunes might not launch at all (especially on Linux where there’s still no iTunes). While this doesn’t provide a solution in actually getting to iTunes, it does make sure that, when you don’t move past the browser, you still get to see information based on the link you clicked
Apple this week expanded its browser-based iTunes Preview, now allowing users to view information on software within the App Store without ever launching iTunes.
