Speck’s first case for the iPad is an unexpected combination of two different concepts: its prior PixelSkin rubber cases for iPods and iPhones, and a purse. PixelShield ($40) is a cool rounded rectangular sleeve with a large iPad pocket on one side, covered by a flap, and a small rubber Speck logo on the back side. With cut and paste functionality, as well as a built-in web browser, it’s a great way to simplify logging into password-protected sites or even making online purchases.
